SOLID WASTE (landfills, transfer stations, composting)
A solid waste landfill with extreme odors and a housing subdivision less
than 100 feet away called itself
A The Landfill From
Hell.@ (We don=
t know what the nearby residents called it.) The landfill now
uses granules (10160G) along the
entire fence line. They hang one
sleeve, with a pound of
granules each, every 10 linear feet about 5-6 feet off the
ground. They replace the granules every 3 months. There have
been no calls from irate homeowners since the landfill began
using our product. The landfill purchases an annual supply of
granules at one time to decrease their cost. COST: $3275/yr
A customer works within a 60,000 sq ft building containing an
area of 25,000 sq ft where trucks unload garbage and other solid
waste. The back of
this area opens to the outside. They purchased
granules (10160G) and used it with
WindScent
tm sleeves to hang around
the perimeter of the area. The customer states that the solid
waste odors have
been reduced considerably - from a rating of 9 to 1. COST:
$1580/yr
A small composting facility in Montana experiences strong
odors for six months of the year. They use a custom blend super
concentrate liquid sprinkled directly
on the odorous material, as needed. They report no solid waste odor problems
since using our product. COST: $100/yr
One recycler handles soda bottles. The sugar left in the
bottles causes odor problems. Empty bottles used as a spittoon
causes additional odors. They use our solid waste odor
controlling granules (10160G) and liquids (10160WS). They wrote,
"We are very pleased with your product. We
will pursue other odor opportunities in the plant." Cost:
$994/yr.
A transfer station takes in municipal
solid waste into its 40,000 square foot building. They use our
solid waste liquid odor neutralizer (10160WS) to eliminate
odors. They wrote us to say that their DEC inspector said, "this
is what he has been waiting for 101 (degrees), slight breeze and
no Odor, and it works." Later they wrote us and said, "We have
had the best year ever (2006), we did not have one odor
complaint this year in 105 degree weather." Cost: $21,000/year
